Volue acquires wind farm supplier

Volue acquires all the shares in Meventus Aps, the Danish subsidiary of Meventus AS, which supplies wind metering equipment and off grid power supply solutions to wind farms.

It is Volue’s new Industrial IoT branch through Scanmatic, which has negotiated the agreement.

– We are very happy with the agreement. Meventus Aps strengthens our investment in instrumentation solutions within renewable energy. In addition, the company is established in Denmark, which is a new market for us, says Johannes Skar, who will lead the Danish business.

The international technology company Volue was established in March 2020 and consists of the companies Scanmatic, Wattsight, Markedskraft and Powel. The company offers technology and software solutions to solve one of the biggest challenges of our time – the green shift from fossil to renewable energy production. In recent years, Volue has grown as a supplier of instrumentation solutions in wind power. They first bought InSitu AB in 2019 and now the acquisition of Meventus Aps.

– We have become one of the Nordic region’s largest players in this area and have great ambitions for further growth, says Kim Steinsland, EVP Industrial IoT in Volue. Last year, Volue won a framework agreement with the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) for the delivery of measuring stations for meteorological and hydrological measurements.

Through the acquisition of Meventus Aps, Volue now has its own organization and presence in Denmark.

– We will follow up existing customers in a good way and at the same time be able to offer all our solutions in the Danish market. This we give ourselves a big boost, concludes Steinsland.
